Olympics at home, especially designed for a retired couple: Olympic View House

Olympic View House is a modern 2,700 square meters, two-story house designed by BC & J Architecture located in Bainbridge Island, Washington State. Specially designed for a retired couple with an academic career, the residence offers a spacious interior design and cozy, ideal for relaxation. Here’s more information on the structure of the architects: “The careful use of exotic materials such as Ipe and clear hemlock as cladding and roofing, respectively, and cost-effective options such as Hardi Hardi Panel Craft and bring together a range of mixed colors.

This articulation of the palette of materials at the same time it be both warm and based substantially. The core strength of the building is highlighted by a battered base frame at each corner. The top of the bases are still below the plane of the roof by two feet allowing the roof seem to float above the body of the house. The roof then acts as more of a canopy that allows light to penetrate the building at all times during the day and be a street lamp at night-landscape. “Find your original design?
